Academics
Oak City Academy is a Christ-centered Montessori school serving preschool through 8th grade in the Raleigh–Triangle area, designed to form confident, curious, and compassionate learners. Our program blends Montessori foundations with Classical Christian education, bringing learning to life through hands-on experiences, outdoor exploration, and real-world skill development.
From early childhood through middle school, students are known, challenged, and nurtured in a community shaped by Kingdom, Honor, Joy, and Wholeness. Discover how each stage of learning builds toward a life of purpose.
Primary: PreK 3 - Kindergarten
Oak City Academy’s Primary Program serves students in PK3 through Grade 5 across both our Main Campus and Blended Campus, offering families flexible pathways for early and elementary learning. At the Blended Campus, students engage in a hybrid model with two on-campus days each week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, depending on track) supported by guided learning at home. At the Main Campus, primary students attend full-time, five days a week in a Christ-centered Montessori environment focused on hands-on learning, independence, and strong academic foundations.
Lower Elementary: Grades 1-3
Oak City Academy’s Lower Elementary Program serves Grades 1–3, building on our Primary Montessori foundation through Christ-centered, hands-on learning that develops independence, critical thinking, and academic mastery across core subjects, enrichment, and outdoor exploration. Families may choose Full-Time (Grades 1–3) at our Main Campus, meeting five days a week, or Blended (Grades 2–3), a hybrid model with two on-campus days each week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday depending on track) supported by guided learning at home.
Upper Elementary: Grades 4-5
Oak City Academy’s Upper Elementary Program serves Grades 4–5, guiding students into greater independence, leadership, and deeper learning through a Christ-centered Montessori education. Students engage in advanced academics, hands-on projects, outdoor exploration, and meaningful opportunities to grow in character, communication, and critical thinking. Families may choose between our Full-Time program (Grades 4–5), meeting five days a week at our Main Campus, or our Blended program (Grades 4–5), which combines two on-campus days each week with guided learning at home.
Middle School: Grades 6-8
Oak City Academy’s Middle School Program serves Grades 6–8, guiding students toward greater responsibility, leadership, and purpose through a Christ-centered educational experience. Housed entirely at our Main Campus, students engage in rich academic experiences, hands-on projects, leadership opportunities, and Creative Pathways that cultivate critical thinking, character, and real-world skills. Families may choose between our Full-Time program, meeting five days a week, or our Hybrid program, which combines three on-campus days each week with guided learning at home.
