At Oak City Academy, we believe every child should have access to a Christ-centered, Montessori education that builds character and nurtures a love for learning.
Oak City Academy is proud to be an approved recipient of the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship, which can cover up to $7,686 per child annually entering grades K-12th. These funds are available to all families, regardless of income, and significantly reduce tuition costs. Check the NCSEAA calculator for how much your family could potentially receive.
What’s Included in Tuition:
Our tuition covers so much more than academics. Your child will experience:
- Small group, hands-on, and discovery based curriculum
- Small class sizes with dedicated teacher assistants in PK-5th
- Enrichment classes
- Technology access and safety monitoring services
- Field trips* and cultural experiences
- Character development, Bible study, and community-building activities
*OCA’s Blended Model program invites families to join curriculum based field trips and enrichment experiences on various Fridays at their own expense.

Tuition Insurance for Peace of Mind
Life happens, and we understand that circumstances can change. That’s why we offer tuition insurance for families who need flexibility, providing financial protection if you have to withdraw mid-year. More information about this program can be found during the enrollment process.
Transparency Matters: Additional Fees (2026-2027)
In addition to tuition, there are one-time and annual fees to support your child’s experience:
- Application Fee: $300
- Enrollment Fee: $400 (All grades and programs)
- Secures your child’s seat
- Curriculum Fee: $300–$500 (Varies by grade level)
- Covers Montessori manipulatives, enrichment supplies, books, and technology materials
- New Student One-Time Fee:
- $400 per student for Blended K-5th ($600 cap per family)
- $600 per student for Hybrid 6th-8th ($900 cap per family)
- $1,000 per student for PK, TK, and Full Day K-8th ($1,500 cap per family)
- Campus enhancements, teacher/staff development, sports expansion, community building activities, and strategic growth initiatives
- Note: For families with children in multiple programs, the new student fee will be capped according to the highest applicable program
- Middle School/High School Activities Fee: $400 per student
- Covers fine arts, athletics, and creative pathways classes for middle and high school students
- Tuition Insurance: 2.25-2.5% of tuition (not required if utilizing one installment payment option)
