AFFORDING OCA

At Oak City Academy, we believe every child should have access to a Christ-centered, Montessori education that builds character and nurtures a love for learning. 

Oak City Academy is proud to be an approved recipient of the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship, which can cover up to $7,000 per child annually. These funds are available to all families, regardless of income, and significantly reduce tuition costs. Check the calculator much your family could potentially receive here. 

We also offer Internal Scholarships designed for families from under-resourced communities. If you’re eligible for free or reduced lunch and have applied for the NC Opportunity Scholarship, you could qualify for additional support to make your tuition even more affordable.

What’s Included in Tuition:
Our tuition covers so much more than academics. Your child will experience:

  • Hands-on Montessori materials;

  • Small class sizes with dedicated teacher assistants; 

  • Enrichment programs, field trips, and cultural experiences; and

  • Character development and community-building activities.

Flexible Payment Options

We offer several ways to pay tuition so you can choose what works best for your family:

  • One-time payment

  • Two installments

  • 10 monthly payments (August–May)

  • 12 monthly payments (July–June)
     

Tuition Insurance for Peace of Mind
Life happens, and we understand that circumstances can change. That’s why we offer tuition insurance for families who need flexibility, providing financial protection if you have to withdraw mid-year.

Transparency Matters: Additional Fees

In addition to tuition, there are one-time and annual fees to support your child’s experience:

  • Application Fee: $250 (Waivers available for qualifying families—ask us how!)

  • Enrollment Fee: $400 (All grades and programs)

  • Curriculum Fee: $300–$400 (Varies by grade level)

  • New Student Fee: $250 per student for Blended; $1,000 per student for Main (Capped per family at $400 for Blended and $1,500 for Main))
     

We’re happy to guide you through these fees and share how scholarships, payment plans, and discounts can offset costs.
