What Our Families Are Saying

McGee Family

Oak City Academy has been such a blessing to our family in so many ways. As we began our research into homeschooling, a friend recommended OCA’s “blended program”, and I am forever grateful to this. My oldest is now in her second year, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact it also has on our younger children as they enter their school-age years. Every member of the staff exudes kindness, love, and most importantly, a heart for the Lord. The care that is put into the teaching approach and the effort to integrate kingdom centered details throughout each day is palpable. We are so grateful for the support and partnership we have built with OCA in such a short time, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Liszt Family

We have been at OCA since our oldest son started Kindergarten. The teachers and administration truly know my kiddos and the ways in which they each need to be loved, challenged and shepherded. My kids love to learn and I think that is owed greatly to the way that OCA brings wonder and curiosity into the classroom. The academics are top-notch and OCA ensures that every child works at their own individual pace. Most importantly, OCA values growing kingdom-hearted learners. God's story is woven into lessons, experiments, group work, and even recess, teaching the gospel in everyday moments. OCA is willing to listen to parents' advice and feedback and truly wants to be the best it can be for students. We are very thankful for Oak City Academy!

Sellers Family

We LOVEEEE OCA. Love. We feel so at home there, our child is loved and valued— not just another student in a long roster. They are always open to feedback and are very open to all parent choices. The kids get to learn at their pace and are encouraged to explore. Entrepreneurial skills are also a large part of the curriculum— soft skills are a huge focus. I love that because I don’t want a high achieving child. I want a well rounded, adaptable child that has a huge heart for serving others and is a critical thinker.

Dennis Family

Oak City Academy has been a wonderful experience for our family. Our children attend the blended model, which offers the perfect balance between homeschooling and in-person learning. We truly appreciate the school’s strong Christian values, the patience and care shown by the staff, and their commitment to treating each student as a unique individual. Oak City has created an environment where our kids feel known, supported, and genuinely excited to learn. We’re so grateful to be part of this community!

Reed Family

On our first visit to Oak City Academy, we were immediately struck with a sense of peace. Touring the classrooms, the kids were so calm and joyful. We enrolled our kids in 6th, 3rd and 2nd grades full-time and they are thriving! We came from homeschooling before this, and it was such an easy transition to them. They love the freedom and independence, key to the Montessori experience. We appreciate the kingdom-focus, with our lower elementary kids spending quiet time in their Bibles immediately upon entering the classroom. What an incredible way to start their day! Our Middle School student appreciates his different teachers, the small class sizes, and the fun electives like Pickleball. We are so grateful for finding OCA!

Moore Family

From faith and values to academics and community, OCA has been the perfect fit for our family. It’s truly been a blessing in our lives—something we believe should be the standard for every child. We’re so excited to take the next step and experience the blended campus this upcoming year!
